This experienced professional will be supporting asset integrity and delivery projects from the front-end through execution and commissioning towards value maximisation. She/he will be responsible for delivering safe,cost/schedule effective and efficient projects; and will be looked up to as important contributors to ongoing projects realization and strategic cost leadership practices within the Deep water Projects organisation. We therefore need competent Nigerian Engineering professionals with deepwater experience who have spent at least 5 years (post-NYSC) focused on practicing the discipline

  • BSc. Degree or HND in Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 5 years of project experience in the oil & gas industry (Substantial experience in another industry will be considered on a case by case basis).
  • 10 years of relevant job experience as a cost engineer within the oil & gas industry will suffice for the lack of academic qualifications or degree.
  • This level of position requires a mature professional with a combination of good technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good understanding of and demonstrable hands-on experience in all functional aspects of Cost Engineering including estimating, budgeting, forecasting, commitment control, change control, variations, contract management, and/or claims analysis.
  • Proven competence in hands-on use of at least one well-known Project Cost Control Software in addition to a well-known general ledger system is essential (hands-on experience with the SAP Project System Module).
  • Skilled in MS applications, especially Excel
  • Demonstrable experience in the ability to prepare meaningful reports, in clear and concise English, utilising information and data received from third parties, SAP (or equivalent system) and own analyses.
  • Ability to work cohesively and communicate successfully in multi-cultural teams whilst being aware of and sensitive to cultural differences. Tact, teamwork, and diplomacy are of the essence.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, co-ordinate, and manage cost data flow interfaces with each function.
