ACADEMIC STAFF VACANCIES
Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Lecturers, Lecturers I & II and Assistant Lecturers in these fields of specialization:
Accounting, Banking, Biology, Botany, Business Administration, Chemistry, Computer Science, English, Finance, International Relations, Law, Mass Communication, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Philosophy and Psychology
Requirements for the post of Professors
A PhD degree with evidence of academic leadership in terms of publication, Research and Development (R&D) and adminstrative experience. In addition, the candidate must have at least twelve years of cognate experience in full time teaching. Research active professors who meet prescribed internationally recognized contributions are placed on a special package.
Requirements for the post of Assistant Professors
Same as Professors but with at least ten years cognate experience
Requirements for the post of Senior Lecturers
Same as Professors but with at least seven years cognate experience
Requirements for the post of Lecturer I & II
PhD degree with four years cognate experience
Requirements for the post of Assistant Lecturers
At least a Masters degree in relevant disciplines with a CGPA suitable for undertaking M.Phil/PhD Programme
NON-ACADEMIC STAFF VACANCIES
Post of Registrar
Requirements: - A Masters Degree with a minimum of ten years experience in University administration. Any candidate below the rank of a Principal Assistant Registrar needs not apply. Strong Leadership qualities, with ethical values and good interpersonal relationship skills are required.
Post of Bursar
Requirements: - A good honors degree in Accounting plus a professional accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA. Minimum ten years of cognate experience with proven integrity and good moral character. The Bursar must be computer literate with vast knowledge on operating accounting software of all kinds.
Post of Librarian
Requirements: - A good University degree plus an advanced degree in librarianship.
Candidate must be highly resourceful in the use of information technology. A minimum of ten years post qualification experience in library management.
Post of the Vice Chancellor
Requirements: - A PhD degree with scholarly accomplishments with the rank of a Professor. At least a minimum fifteen years of post doctoral Academic experience, with track record of Research and Development (R&D) and publications. Candidate must have administrative in-depth experience in the University system such as Head of Department or Dean of Faculty. The candidate must be creative with traits for innovation and imagination. Candidate must be a person with high integrity and moral discipline
