Established by the NATIONAL IDENTITY MANAGEMENT COMMMISSION
Act No. twenty three of two thousand seven, the NATIONAL IDENTITY MANAGEMENT
COMMMISSION is also known as NIMC has the mandate to establish, own, operate,
maintain and manage the National Identity Database in Nigeria, register persons
covered by the Act, assign a Unique National Identification Number (NIN) and issue
General Multi-Purpose Cards (GMPC) to those registered individuals, and to
harmonize and integrate existing identification databases in Nigeria.

Management Commission (NIMC) - As part of efforts towards the full rollout of
the NIMS, the NIMC has arranged to engage the services of suitable candidates
