NITDA Organises ICT YES (Youth Empowerment Scheme) 2012 in Nigeria

The focus of National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) at inception was to create the necessary awareness and enabling environment for the integration and use of IT to achieve sustainable national development. This effort is already yielding result especially with the level of IT penetration and deployment in public and private sectors as well as educational institutions.

As part of the Federal Government's Transformation agenda NITDA is embarking on a 1 week IT Sensitization and Innovation Training programme for unemployed Nigerian Youths.

Under the 1st phase, hundred youths are to be trained each in Abuja and Lagos

Goals:

1. To sensitise Nigerian youths on ICT career opportunities
2. To develop ICT Human capital and Entrepreneurship skills among youths
3. Deliver Hands-on Training on Web Design, Management and Hosting
4. Equipping best participating youths during the training with start-up tools and equipments.

Lagos Training Date: 22nd - 26th Oct, 2012
Venue: Digital Bridge Institute, Old Nitel Training School, Cappa Bus Stop, Oshodi, Lagos.

Abuja Training: 29th Oct, - Nov, 2nd 2012
Venue: Digital Bridge Institute, 8 P.O.W. Mafemi Crescent, Off Solomon Lar Way, (Behind Chida Hotel) Utako District - Abuja
