Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a leading international Engineering Group, which provides integrating solutions & technological services for Oil & Gas companies. Adexen Recruitment Agency is looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager (Job reference no: NGA1029) for its operations in Nigeria. The position is based in Lagos

The job holder originates and leads HR practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented; high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The HR manager coordinates the implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs through HR staff and assists and advises company managers about HR issues.

Responsibilities for this post
  • Ensure that the interface between the management and every single employee is permanently guaranteed.
  • Ensure that the Human Resources are structured, optimised, motivated and trained to achieve high quality performance.
  • Identify staff vacancies, initiate recruiting, selecting, orienting and training processes for the current and the new employees.
  • Ensure that the Human Resources policies and strategies are in line with the best practice and with the applicable laws.
  • Liaise with external government/quasi-government and other external bodies pertaining to Human Resources issues
  • Maintain industrial harmony on the sites
  • Responsible for the monthly payroll process and review.
  • Maintain historical and current Human Resources records within our Human Resources Software.
  • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job description for all positions.
  • Provide counsel and handle grievances issues with employees, disciplinary actions, redundancies and dismissals.
  • Inform employees on Human Resources policies, procedures and performance development plans.
  • Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating and/or recommending Human Resources policies and procedures.
  • Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems and safety and recreation programs.
  • Prepare written and oral reports on a wide range of Human Resources related issues.
  • Negotiate bargaining agreements and help interpret labour contracts.
Qualifications & experience
B.Sc in Law or Social Sciences or equivalent specialisation in Human Resources Management or higher
At least five years experience in a similar position; within the same industry will be a plus.
Membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) will be a plus
Excellent in problem solving, analytical and administrative skills
Outstanding negotiation and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work in a multicultural environment and under pressure
