The AIDS Prevention Initiative in Nigeria (APIN) has recruitment for the Human Resource (HR) Officer for location Abuja (Nigeria). The HR will have responsibility for providing a wide range of support in the human resource and organizational development functions. The position should be applied before 15th November, 2012.
The HR Officer responsible for:
- Drive the recruitment & selection process and manage staff retention and exit
- Support and monitor the implementation of organizational effectiveness initiatives and render report on progress being made
- Actively support change management programmes and activities
- Work closely with other members of the HR Team tmonitor and benchmark HR systems and practices in peer organizations and report new practices for possible adoption
- Monitor adherence tpersonnel policies and code of conduct and render periodic reports on the level of compliance
- Drive the implementation of the performance management system and support its alignment tthe organizational goals
- Provide necessary assistance and make contributions tthe planning and implementation of HR improvement and other related projects
Requirements of the HR Officer
A 1st degree in the Social Sciences, the Humanities or any other relevant field and membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM); at least eight years cognate experience, preferably in an international NGO
