A leading construction company is looking to recruit a Maintenance Officer (Job reference no: NGA1078) for its Nigerian operations. The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
The MO will be in charge of the upkeep and repairs of buildings and equipment in the camp. Candidate will ensure that quality and standards are maintained in all works and monitor the functioning of various technicians such as plumbers, electricians and carpenters in maintenance works.
Requirements:
- B.Sc /HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- At least two years’ experience in a similar role in the construction sector
- Candidate should have sound technical knowledge of all the machines and equipment used in a construction company
- The job holder should be able to identify the problem areas and look for appropriate solutions to fix those problems and prevent the machines from deterioration
- Good understanding of maintaining buildings and machines
- The MO has excellent communication & negotiation skills at all levels and demonstrates a high level of initiative
- The successful candidate should possess good leadership qualities and good time-management skills
- Candidate must be computer literate
- Team oriented and outgoing
