Clinical Assistant Vacancy at Population Council Nigeria

Population Council Nigeria is looking for dynamic, visionary and result oriented people to fill the vacancy of Clinical Assistant. The position is based in Kaduna, Lagos (Nigeria).

The Clinical Assistant will provide administrative and clerical support to the community-based clinic in an effective and efficient manner that will ensure that the clinic operations are maintained to high standards. The Clinical Assistant will also provide full support administrative to the Medical Officer.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in English language/Secretarial studies, Administration or closely related field with at least 2 to4 years of relevant experience (with 1 + year of administration) or a satisfactory combination of education and relevant experience. NGO experience desirable.
  • Proficiency with office systems including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); a Knowledge of graphics is useful
  • Proficiency in written and oral English.
  • Excellent communications skills (e.g interpersonal, writing, presentation, negotiation)
  • Organized and results-orientated.
  • Ability to work in complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure to perform.
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively with all levels of employees with minimal supervision, in addition to also functioning well as part of a team.
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Bright, confident, personable personality
  • Flexible and mature approach with ability to work independently.
