Futo Nigeria Jobs for Auditor I & II, Senior Auditor and Director of Audit

The Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), Imo State has recruitments for the posts of Auditor I and II, Senior Auditor and Director of Audit.

Responsibilities of Auditor I and II (CONTISS 7 / CONTISS 8)

1. The candidate shall demonstrate evidence of possessing effective communication skills, flair for figures and analyses of data and the use of same to arrive at objective conclusion.
2. The job holder shall have knowledge of accounting and auditing systems and be ready to deploy the knowledge in making value added recommendations in identified internal control issues.
3. He shall be required to further demonstrate competence in the use of IT tools for word processing spread sheet and audit interrogations; and to assist the Chief Audit Executive with unhindered mental independence to advice on risk management, governance and control.

Responsibilities of Senior Auditor (CONTISS 9)

1. The candidate is required to perform the above responsibilities at a higher capacity.
2. Senior Auditor should show ability to develop internal audit programme for an audit assignment and provide supervisory role when leading an internal audit assignment.

Responsibilities of Director of Audit (CONTISS 15)

1. Candidate shall serve as the Chief Audit Executive who shall perform advanced level professional internal auditing work as a key component of the University governance structure.
2. The work involves directing a comprehensive audit programme including performance, financial and compliance audit projects, providing consulting services to the University Management and staff,
3. Providing direction to development of Annual Audit Plan;and providing on-going training, coaching and supervision to internal audit staff. He shall maintain perversion organizational and professional ethical standards; and works independently with extension latitude for Initiative and Independent judgment.
4. The Director of Audit must be a registered/chartered member of recognized Accounting/Auditing body; and In addition have at least fifteen (15) years post qualification experience, substantial part of which must have been in a University or comparable Institution of higher learning.

Requirements
The candidates must possess good honours degree in Accountancy/Banking and Finance from a recognized University or Institution and must be computer literate.
