REQUIREMENTS & JOB DESCRIPTION

MEDICAL DOCTOR

Role Summary: The post holder will reporting to the Head, Clinic, the successful candidate will facilitate physical/medical examinations, first aid, and provide other medical attention to employees of the Commission. In addition, he/she will analyse reports and findings of tests and examinations, diagnose patients' conditions, as well as provide appropriate out-patient support.

Requirements: A good first degree in Medicine. A minimum of 2 years’ relevant post-housemanship experience. Hands-on experience in managing an on-site clinic.

HEAD PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

Role Summary: The post holder will reporting to the Head, Human Capital Planning, Employee Development and Performance Management, the successful candidate will oversee the management of the NIMC’s performance management system in order to enhance organisational productivity. In particular, he/she will develop and deploy effective performance management tools and processes, as well as oversee performance tracking and monitoring in the Commission. In addition, the role will oversee the organisation and development of training manuals for performance management.

Requirements: A good first degree or its equivalent in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Administration, or other relevant fields. A minimum of 5 years’ relevant post-qualification experience or 10 years’ Civil Service experience. Demonstrable experience developing, implementing and managing a successful performance management framework

HEAD, TRAINING DEVELOPMENT

Role Summary: The post holder will reporting to the Head, HC Planning, the successful candidate will coordinate Training and liaise with managers and supervisors to determine training needs. He/she will also participate in the formulation of training policies, programmes, and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs.

Requirements: A good first degree or its equivalent in Business, Public Administration, or other related fields. A minimum of 8 years' relevant professional experience, or 10 years' cognate experience in the Civil Service.

HR MANAGER, RECRUITMENT SERVICES

Role Summary: the post holder will report to the Head of Human Resources Administration, the successful candidate will have oversight of the work activities of staff to ensure that operational results are met. The major focus of this will be to develop and implement the recruitment and selection processes of NIMC, as well as attract key talents for potentially available for selection as required.

Requirements: A good first degree or its equivalent in Business or Public Administration, or other related fields. A minimum of 5 years' relevant post-qualification experience. Good knowledge of all full life cycle recruiting components

HEAD, HUMAN CAPITAL, PLANNING EMPLOYEE DEV. & PERFORMANCE MGT

Role Summary: The post holder will reporting to the Head of Human Capital Management, the successful candidate will develop and manage the process for Human Capital Planning in the Commission, as well as oversee the production of Human Capital plans as a companion to the Commission’s strategic plans.

Requirements: A good first degree or its equivalent in Business or Public Administration or other related fields. A minimum of 6 years' relevant post-qualification experience or 13 years’ cognate experience in the Civil Service. Good knowledge of Human Resource Administration especially in the public sector, and must be able to demonstrate knowledge of Training and Development, Performance Management Systems, and Human Capital Planning Processes.

HEAD, HUMAN RESOURCE ADMINISTRATION

Role Summary: The post holder will report to the Head, Human Capital Management, the successful candidate will direct the generation, review and update of employee records. Inherent in this will be the administration of the NIMC’s retirement and pension management system, as well as the Human Resource Information System. He/she will also manage the administration of the Commission’s Compensation Management System including Payroll and Employee entitlements.

Requirements: A good first degree (or its equivalent) in Business or Public Administration, or any related discipline. A minimum of 13 years' relevant post qualification experience with at least 6 years’ experience in senior management position in a similar organization. Good knowledge of Human Resource Administration especially in the public sector

NURSE

Role Summary: The post holder will reporting to the Head, Clinic, the successful candidate will provide general nursing care to patients in the Commission’s clinic facility. As part of this, he/she will prepare equipments and provide support during treatment and examination of patients, as well as administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.

Requirements: A good first degree or its equivalent in Nursing. Relevant professional nursing certification is essential. A minimum of 2 years’ relevant post-qualification experience. Hands-on experience in managing an on-site clinic
