REQUIREMENTS & JOB DESCRIPTION
HEAD, CORPORATE AUDIT
Job Description: The job holder will reporting to the Director General, the successful candidate will provide direction and oversight for the operations of NIMC’s corporate audit function, in order to ensure that financial system and business operations meet regulatory standards. Candidates will also lead the audit of management and operational processes to ensure effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, transactions, and efficiency of operations.
Key Requirements: Strong knowledge of internal control and corporate governance. A good first degree or its equivalent in Accounting and Auditing, Finance, Management, Administration or other related fields. A Master’s degree, as well as membership of relevant professional association(s) will be an advantage. A minimum of ten years’ relevant professional experience or twenty years’ in the Civil Service, with at least six years in Corporate Audit, five years of which must have been in a management position
HEAD, INVESTIGATIONS AND SPECIAL AUDIT
Job Description: The job holder will reporting to the Head, Corporate Audit, the successful candidate will be responsible for critically reviewing the operations at various levels of the management in order to ensure flawless processes and effective control.
Key Requirements: A good first degree or its equivalent in Accounting and Auditing, Finance, Management, Administration, Public Administration or other related fields. Membership of relevant professional association(s) is an advantage. A minimum of five years’ relevant professional experience or ten years’ in the Civil Service. This should include, at least five years in Corporate Audit and appreciable experience in internal audit of Public Institutions. Strong knowledge of internal control and corporate governance.
HEAD, RISK ASSESSMENT AND COMPLIANCE AUDIT
Job Description: The job holder will reporting to the Head, Corporate Audit, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out assessment of the NIMC's business processes and procedures, as well as ensuring compliance with the laid down policies. The successful candidate will also ensure adequacy of existing policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations in meeting the Commission’s strategic goals and objectives.
Key Requirements: A good first degree or its equivalent in Accounting and Auditing, Finance, Management, Administration, Public Administration or other related fields. Membership of relevant professional association(s) will be an advantage. A minimum of five years’ relevant professional experience or ten years’ in the Civil Service. This should include, at least five years in Corporate Audit and appreciable experience in internal audit of Public Institutions. Demonstrable track record of success in risk assessment and compliance.
