REQUIREMENTS & JOB DESCRIPTION
NON-CAPITAL ITEMS PROCUREMENT SERVICES
Job Description: The position holder will reporting to the Head, Procurement, the successful candidate will be responsible for the acquisition of non-capital goods and services. A critical part of the role is preparing bid invitations, awarding contracts, as well as developing and maintaining an effective working relationship with vendors and suppliers.
Key Requirements: A good first degree or its equivalent in Management, Accounting, Business Administration or other related fields. A minimum of 5years’ relevant professional experience or 10 years’ Civil Service experience. Membership of relevant professional association(s) such as NIPS will be an advantage. Strong knowledge of the Public Procurement Act
SECURITY MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Job Description: The position holder will reporting to the Head, Facilities Management Services, the successful candidate will champion the development and implementation of NIMC's security strategy to ensure the overall safety of the Commission and its assets. An intrinsic part of this will be to continuously and proactively update the strategy in line with new developments and security concerns in the country.
Key Requirements: A good first degree or its equivalent in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management or other relevant fields. A minimum of 5 years' relevant professional experience or 10 years' relevant experience in the Civil Service. Advanced knowledge of the administration of contemporary security management framework and systems
HEAD, FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Job Description: The role holder will reporting to the Head, Corporate Management Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall maintenance of the NIMC’s facilities. Specifically, he/she will ensure proper maintenance of the Commission’s facilities, including fixed assets, utilities and communication, as well as the coordination of security.
Key Requirements: A good first degree or its equivalent in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management or other relevant fields. A minimum of 8 years’ relevant professional experience or 10 years’ relevant experience in the Civil Service. Demonstrable knowledge of procurement, facility maintenance, negotiation and logistics support.
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Job Description: the post holder will report to the Head of Facilities Management Services, successful candidate will have direct responsibility for maintaining the physical premises of NIMC and its environment. This will include ensuring proper cleaning and security for the Commission's real estate and non-real estate properties, including utilities and communications infrastructure.
Key Requirements: A good first degree or its equivalent in any relevant field. A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience. Good knowledge of office management and administration
OUTSOURCE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
Job Description: The Outsource Management Services will report to the Head of Fleet Management and Outsourced Services, the successful candidate will assist in the development of service level agreements and participate in the supervision of outsourced services to the Commission. Key functions of this role will be to track the performance of outsourcing companies, as well as monitor the implementation of follow-up actions to improve the performance of the contractors involved in facilities management.
Key Requirements: A good first degree or its equivalent in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management or other related fields. A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience. Working knowledge of project management
