WTS Energy is looking to Recruiting for a Gas Projects Engineer for an International Oil and Gas operator to work in Nigeria. The position is based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Position description:
- The job holder will play a vital role within the Client's GAS PROJECTS Team.
- Develop project plans, estimate work scope, budgets and prepare work schedules for gas projects to upgrade or develop the gas resources and infrastructure of client's JV
- Supervise contractors and consultants working on gas projects.
- Participate in engineering studies and design of that will maximize the value of the gas value chain, and also, utilization of produced Condensate
- Contribute to Client’s commitment to Federal Government’s Flares down Policy and add value to Client’s bottom line on gas sales.
- The role must provide value adding performance as a member of the Gas team. He/she will work closely with the Gas Projects Manager as well as other functional team members (Drilling + Completions, Asset development, Engineering, Operations, HSES, Corporate Services).
- Responsibility for ensuring that gas projects are well planned, executed as planned, completed to schedule and budget.
- Develop Gas project plans, work scope, schedule projects and contribute to budget development.
- Develop and contribute to projects’ execution, including supervising contractors and consultants
- As a member of the Gas team, help to promote awareness within the rising profile of gas usage and sales
- Deliver all reports, data and information concerning the progress of the development of gas commercial programs within the agreed time frame and frequency.
Requirements:
Degree qualified in Engineering with chartered engineer status
Masters degree in engineering or business related topics
Significant experience in senior role in Oil and Gas sector
Experience in development and execution of gas projects
Gas Industry Knowledge, Gas Project Agreements, Gas Market Analysis, Gas Processing and Processing
3 to 15 years experience.
Terms & Conditions Planning Engineer
- For this position preference will be given to Nigerian Nationals. In case expatriate candidates are selected, it is a prerequisite he/she is tasked to mentor and train a Nigerian understudy.
- The Positions are initially based in Lagos at the study and design phase, and Sapele during project construction activities. The role will also will require visits to overseas suppliers, design offices and contractor/consultant offices in Nigeria. As part of career development, the candidate will be assigned roles in the production operations and potentially, in the HSE teams.
- These are no subordinates for this role as the candidate will report to the Gas Projects Manager’s team and also, rely on the performance of team colleagues and other employees as well as consultants in delivering the required performance.
