JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Primary function is to procure materials on time, identify potential for cost savings and establish reductions
- Liaising with Project Subcontracts Co-coordinators, Engineers and Project Management.
- Facilitate and coordinate the Project Subcontracts Commercial & Administration work.
- Identification, evaluation, preparation and subsequent agreement of Subcontract work-scope changes.
- Target to reduce lead time on materials to be sourced and ensure dealing with suppliers who adhere to committed lead times.
- Identify and eliminate or reduce the high volume of low value suppliers by review of sample orders and establishing alternative methods of ordering such as stock-call off or supplier stock management agreement.
- Liaise with all major suppliers on an ongoing basis to set up standard agreements
- Liaise with other group procurement personnel as necessary to establish and monitor common procurement strategies and ensure awareness and, understanding of each other's standard purchasing agreements.
- Carry out regular monitoring of prices and price agreements by comparison to previous orders.
- Produce monthly reports detailing key events and status of progress towards achieving targets including a list of ongoing savings obtained
- Conduct work with due regard to quality and commercial procedures such that risk to quality and financial exposure is contained within the company guidelines
- Liaise with General Manager and Finance Manager to discuss and agree proposals for spend reductions Set target for annual savings and methods of measuring actual cost savings.
- Carry out analyses of company purchase orders placed, from raw data provided by business systems.
- Validate the information and summarize in Microsoft excel format reports for distribution throughout the service center network and to company management
Requirements
To be considered for this role you will have previously managed high value oil & gas contracts along with
- Bachelor or Master's degree or quivalent in a relevant Engineering, Business or Commercial based discipline with a minimum of 8 years experience.
- Considerable engineering/tendering experience, proven track record of tendering EPC work in the Oil and Gas industry.
- Extensive procurement experience with Procurement Management experience.
- Proven ability to liaise with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ability to communicate fluently at the highest level with customers and suppliers.
- The ability to build effective relationships with personnel across all levels of the business.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office packages- in particular, Word, Excel and Power Point
