JOB DESCRIPTION:
The candidate should be able to demonstrate a complete understanding, knowledge and commitment to the importance of HSE in the day to day activities. He must demonstrate safety awareness and show a duty of care for others around him. He must be a capable and willing team member. Production engineer will be working within the Production Department of an onshore fabrication yard reporting to the Production Manager and will perform but not be limited to the following functions;
- Review of engineering activities for the assigned project to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality and “fit-for-purpose” product within budgetary and schedule constraints
- Study and development of initial overall construction methodology for individual project within available resources, able to produce drawings for fabrication sequence, Detail Assembly Procedure (DAP), Working Sequence Diagram (WSD), Lifting & Transportation and Load-out or Integration Plan
- Study and decision of transportation and integration work
- Perform and review of structural analysis for transportation & integration work including lifting of each block or module, must be capable to calculate structural strength and deformation related to lifting, transportation and Load-out
- Make a drawing for lifting, transportation & integration work
- Monitor that the latest revisions of drawings etc are in use on the shop floor
- Issuance of engineering documentation to fabrication heads within Production department
- Preparation of technical queries and evaluation of responses thereto prepare and maintain TQ Register (in conjunction with Project Engineer and Project document Controller)
- Perform regular and routine documentation audits in field locations/offices to ensure that documents in the field are up to date
- Must be a team player and have the ability to interact with other personnel within the production and project groups
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years (post qualification) with contracting company (not client) involved in production engineering for oilfield construction projects. Candidate must have knowledge of production engineering for offshore projects (jackets, decks, topside modules, subsea structures) and international standard codes and specifications. Ideally should also have a working knowledge of major oil company specifications (Addax, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Total, B.P and Shell).
