American University of Nigeria (AUN) Recruitment 2013 for Gym/ Fitness Attendant

The American University of Nigeria (AUN), Yola, is looking Permanent Gym/ Fitness Attendant into department of Student Affairs. This position is local one and opens to indigenous and/or legal residents of Nigeria.

Position Summary
The job holder, oversees AUN gym facilities and attends guests of the Fitness center, monitors use of the facilities and equipment, and cleans and maintains equipment.

Position Requirements:
  • At least National Diploma or B.Sc. preferred in related field, two year(s) of gym/fitness experience in a reputable Institution.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items bending, standing, climbing or walking.
  • Must be able to work safely in an environment.
  • Routinely required to work under different weather conditions.
  • Effective English - verbal and written communication.
  • Strong knowledge of gym equipment and procedure.
  • Ability to work on shift and a team player.
Other requirements, abilities for the position:
  1. Attend to emergencies when necessary.
  2. Attend safety meetings and other related meetings.
  3. Assist in the instruction and supervision of work orders.
  4. Assist with inventory control and security.
  5. Support and enforce all policies of AUN gym/fitness center
Description of Benefits:
Salary and benefits are commensurate with experience and job classification as approved by the University.
