The National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) Yaba, Lagos, hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Director of Research (Molecular Biology and Biotechnology).
Salary
CONHESS 15 STEP I/ CONMESS 07/1 (N4,233,344.00 x Nil 3,207.00) per annum.
Qualification and Experience
- The candidate must possess a Ph.D in Medical Microbiology/Cell Genetices/Biotechnology or Biochemistry
OR - MBBS degree plus registrable Post-Graduate Fellowship of the National or West African Medical College or its equivalent
- Must have put at least four years as a Deputy-Director Research or on equivalent job grade in a Research/Academic Establishment. An MPH degree is an added advantage.
- There should be evidence of continued productivity and distinguished contribution to knowledge through research with at least thirty (30) publications in peer reviewed journals.
- Evidence of Administration experience, competences in computer application and ability/evidence of winning research grants will also be an added advaotge.
