Society for Family Health (SFH) has published an employment notification for experienced professional who wants to make career in SFH. Society for Family Health has required an Senior Officer (Health Communications - WHP). There are three positions for various locations in Nigeria (Yola, Makurdi and Kano). Candidates are required to apply for only one State. Multiple applications will be disqualified.

Position Description:
The job holder will report to the Territorial Manager. The job holder will lead all SFH health franchise communication activities and/or interventions at the regional level. Candidate with the support of the TM and franchise team members will work with stakeholders to identify and select communities for intervention and also identify health facilities for referrals. The successful job holder will coordinate the selection of appropriate number of IPC conductors using the selection criteria and provides regular support in terms of site visits, mentoring and coaching for quality project implementation.

Requirements:
  1. Candidate must possess a first degree in any of the Health/Natural Sciences, Communication Arts or its equivalent in a relevant field. A masters degree will be of added advantage
  2. Candidate must possess a minimum of three (3) years post NYSC experience in a health facility, community mobilisation role or related area.
  3. Candidate must possess basic understanding of recent advances in Family Planning, Reproductive Health and Womens' Health related issues.
  4. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal communication and report writing skills.
  5. Candidate must also be conversant with the culture and behaviour of target communities.
  6. Candidate must be computer literate with high proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word packages.
