Ericsson Nigeria is now seeks to recruitment for the position of Director of Strategy in Lagos. The job hlder reports to the Head of Marketing, Strategy & Regulatory Affairs RSSA. Strategy is part of the Common Core of the regional structure.

Purpose of Job
The main purpose of the Director of Strategy is to oversee Business Intelligence, develop and execute aligned strategies for the region.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Formulate and execute the regional market strategy aiming to shape current and create new markets, including market & customer segmentation
  • Market research and analysis, consumer and market insights, business intelligence, industry trends, etc. to support the Region, Customer Units and Engagement Practices in formulating and evaluating strategies.
  • Support group forecasting and strategy process.
  • Facilitate business planning for the region.
  • Drive implementation of regional strategic programs
  • Secure effective strategy execution cycle, including effective governance
  • Line Management of Strategy sub-unit following the Instruction “Managerial Responsibilities” LME-10:000011 Uen
  • Additional responsibility for line management of Marketing, Strategy & Regulatory Affairs unit in the Hub
  1. Master’s degree in related fields (MBA, MSc or similar)
  2. Proven and solid general management background with strong business acumen and experience in senior executive positions
  3. Significant experience relevant for driving market strategy development and execution, marketing and business development within Ericsson
  4. Significant telecom industry experience and/or experience in areas with regional growth potential. Experience in related industries such as media, ICT and consumer electronics is desirable
  5. Ericsson and Region Sub–Saharan Africa experience is also vital
  6. Ability to develop and drive change and strategic execution
  7. Possess a sound business sense and a strong ability to think strategically
  8. Proven ability to drive change, strategy execution and inspire innovative strategic and marketing initiatives
  9. Strong leadership and teambuilding skills with proven capability to motivate and develop a team to success
  10. Excellent communication and value argumentation skills, both verbal and written. Ability to build trust in external engagements
  11. Strong planning, delivery and organisational skills
  12. Self-motivated, resourceful and result-oriented. Strong social and interpersonal skills
  13. Must be willing to travel
