Telecommunications (Telco) Sector Business Development Manager Job Description:
This is a senior level position, the job holder will responsible for accelerating revenue growth and profitability by developing business relationships with third parties to complete business unit platform/product portfolios and accomplish business unit strategic objectives. They will drive complex business transactions from deal conception and negotiations to contract closure with companies which positively and significantly impact the business bottom line and/or competitive position.

Other responsibilities include for this position:
  • Building a Mobile Device business plan for the selected countries
  • Develop and communicate market analyses on Mobile Devices
  • Generate demand for Intel based Mobile Devices
  • Sell Intel based Mobile Devices to/through local customer/partners (Operator, Distributors, Large retailers, Local OEM's)
  • Own, manage and develop key customer relationships (Operator, Distributors, Large retailers, Local OEM's)
  • Cooperate and support OEM partners
  • Collaborate with local ISV community in developing localized and differentiated experiences on Mobile Devices
Requirements
  1. Candidate must have 10 + years or equivalent experience working in Telecommunications Operator or Smartphone OEM.
  2. Candidate must have 5+ years or equivalent experience working on Mobile phones / Smartphones in Business Development or Sales.
  3. Required account management experience, including involvement with C level executives.
  4. Experience in dealing with contract negotiations and business planning & analysis.
  5. Strong local skills and knowledge of the market, direct access to distributors and have a network across the sub-region.
  6. Masters Degree in a relevant field.
  7. Ability to speak English is essential and French will be an added advantage.
  8. Experience of Mobile device portfolio management
  9. Experience of Mobile device marketing, including campaigns
  10. Skilled in project management
