POSITION DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate working under the supervision of the Senior Clinical Advisor, the HIV Quality Improvement (QI) Officer   will provide leadership for the implementation of HIV quality of care improvement activities under the ProACT project in Nigeria. In addition he/she will be responsible for the planning, coordination and providing overall strategic direction for the roll out of QI initiatives of the ProACT project as well as providing strong leadership to a multidisciplinary team of clinicians working in supported health facilities.

Management responsibility
  • Spearheading the strategic design and implementation of HIV quality of care improvement activities under the ProACT project in Nigeria
  • Member of the Project Management Team that is responsible for overall project performance
REQUIREMENT
  1. MD with a post degree in Public Health will be an added advantage.
  2. At least 4 years experience with HIV/AIDS care and treatment programs supported by bilateral agencies such as USAID, CDC and international agencies such as WHO and World Bank preferred.
  3. Prior experience with coordinating HIV quality improvement initiatives
  4. Excellent grasp of quality improvement issues and current literature on HIV quality improvement initiatives
  5. Experience in developing country health care programs.
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills and fluency in English.
  7. Team player with demonstrated ability to produce quality results in a timely manner
  8. Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills and ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action;
  9. Strong working competency in computer applications to carry out management and statistical analysis required;
