The Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN) is a national NGO promoting Reproductive Health in Nigeria. PPFN seeks suitably qualified candidates for fill the position of State Programme Officer in Abia and Anambra, Nigeria. There two (2) vacancies are available on this position.
Position Responsibilities
The purpose of this position is to coordinate the implementation of and support to state programs to strengthen community support and increase in SRH services in line with the PPFN strategic plan at the states level to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights agenda and in meeting the goals of the Global Fund Project.
Position Requirements
- Degree in Medicine, Health Sciences, Nursing or RN& RM or equivalent.
- Three years relevant work experience including no less than two years in NGO (preferably in RH).
- Excellent contextual, analytical, writing and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with key national and international implementing support and donor organization in SRH.
- Advanced computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office Suite: MS Words, Excel, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of NGO operations particularly those in reproductive health including family planning, maternal and child health, sexual health and women development, program development and management.
- Familiarity with varied socio-cultural issues as they relate to SRH in the country and sensitivity to cross-cultural issues and concerns.
