POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
1. Experienced Sales Executives
Responsible for achieving or exceeding agreed sales targets for the Company’s range of Construction products within Nigeria Territory:
- Obtain orders that meet or exceed agreed targets and negotiate equipment sales into high valued projects. Ensure that full payments are received for all units sold while all necessary sales documents are adequately prepared.
- Arrange visits to existing and prospective customers to ensure maximum coverage of the territory.
- Aggressively promote the company’s products within the catchment area and win more prospects.
- Provide product related technical assistance and advice to customers and prospects.
- Perform any other related duties as required.
Requirements
- B.Eng./HND Mechanical, Electrical Engineering with minimum of Second Class Lower and 3 years post graduate cognate experience.
- Besides, the incumbent must be highly Computer Literate.
- Sound and safe driving skills with valid driving license.
2. Sales Managers
- Prospects for new customers who might be interested in company products.
- Visit customers to present Mantrac/Unatrac products and answer all technical and commercial enquiries and report on them.
- Participate in quotation preparation, tender documents, if any, study and propose terms of payment as requested.
- Investigates market situation of competitive products, prices and commercial terms and reports in writing.
- Assist in solving any customer’s problems.
- Maintain adequate coverage on all Governmental authorities-where sales leads could be obtained on awarded projects.
- Assists in the process of developing the local sales executives.
- Perform any other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Graduate with minimum of six (6) years in sales activity.
- Ability to manage and lead large sales force.
- In addition, excellent Computer Literacy is a must.
- Sound and safe driving skills with valid driving license.
3. Service Administrator
Succesful candidate will be responsible for maintaining proper and accurate administrative and accounting records for Service Department Jobs - either shops, contracts of field service depending on cost centres and locations.
Requirements
- HND / B.Sc in Accounting or Business Administration (minimum of 2nd Class Lower).
- 'O' Level Credit Passes in English, Maths, Accounting and Business Method. Minimum of two (2) years cognate experience. Computer literacy is compulsory.
4. HSE Officer
The successful candidates will be responsible for the establishment and continuous maintenance of the Company Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Management System activities and related matters.
Requirements
- First Degree in Engineering /Social Science with minimum of 5 years experience with emphasis on Industrial safety and quality assurance.
- 2nd Degree and Professional Certificate in HSE will be an advantage.
- Must be computer literate.
5. PC & Network Administrator
The successful candidates will be responsible for Net work administration and Hardware maintenance.
Requirements
- B.Sc Electrical/Electronics Engineering (Minimum of 2nd class lower).
- 'O' level credit passes in English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Minimum of 3 years experience in network administration.
- MCSE or equivalent a must.
- CCNA will be an added advantage.
- ITIL foundation will be a definate advantage, plus other professional qualifications
6. Experienced Service Engineers
Undertake the troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of heavy duty equipment according to Caterpillar Standards and Specifications both in the workshop and on the field.
Requirements
- B. Eng/HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Mininmum of 2nd Class Lower).
- 'O' level Credit pass in English , Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
- Highly experienced Mechanical background.
- Not less than 5 years hands-on experience in CATERPILLAR and/or similar heavy duty equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to work long hours is a pre-requisite.
- Sound and safe driving skills with valid driving license.
- Ability to ride on a motorcycle will be a considerable advantage.
7. Testing Technicians /PDI Engineer /Quality Controller
Successful candidate will be responsible for Generator testing, Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) and Quality Control.
Requirements
- B.Sc. /HND Electrical Engineering with minimum of Second Class Lower and 3 years cognate experience.
- Besides, the incumbent must be highly Computer Literate.
- Age: Not older than 33 years as at 1st November, 2008 Interested candidates should have minimum of three years experience in generator testing, PDI and quality Control.
8. Packaging Technicians
Successful candidate will be responsible for assembling CAT and Olympian electric generator sets
Requirements
- N.D / City & Guide / Technical Certificate or equivalent qualification in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering.
- Age: Not older than 30 years as at 1st November, 2008 Interested candidates should have minimum of 3 years experience in assembling CAT and Olympian electric generator sets.
9. Application Engineers
- Engage in negotiating Power Systems product sales into high valued projects by highlighting Power Systems technical capabilities.
- Provide when/where necessary, professional technical inputs to assist in achieving Power Systems sales target.
- Project Power Systems as a centre of excellence, adding values to the business and benefit to the customer.
- Disseminate technical advise to all categories of Power Systems customer from assessing present load, forecasting expansion, genset site survey, sizing the best genset to meet load demand, designing an appropriate power distribution system, deliver final purchase, installation and commissioning.
- Prepare and submit technical quotation for Power Systems product and their installation requirement.
- Supervise installations of Power Systems products in order that they meet up to International standards and specifications.
- Intimate potential customers of Caterpillar’s range of Power Systems products, highlighting Power Systems product sales as a complete product support package.
- Provide technical inputs to support the Regional Sales force in their bid to win Power Systems product sales.
- Liaise with the Field Service representatives to initiate Contract Service Maintenance agreements and to execute them when contract has been signed.
Requirements
- B.Eng./HND in Electronics and Electrical Engineering (minimum of 2:2).
- ‘O’ Level Credit passes in English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
- At least, three (3) years relevant work experience.
- Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to work long hours is a pre-requisite.
- Sound and safe driving skills with valid driving license.
10. Paint Supervisor
Successful candidate will be responsible for electro statistic painting and chemical treatments

- Not less than 5 years hand on experienced in quality control.

14. Metal Work Supervisor
The successful Metal Work Supervisor will be allocated specific responsibility and should possess the skills and abilities that would enable him to oversee the Metal Work Shop operations according to specific drawings.
Requirements
- B.Sc./HND Mechanical Engineering with minimum of Second Class Lower, with 7 years post graduate experience in the same line of business.
- Besides, the incumbent must be highly Computer Literate.
- Age: Not older than 35 years old as at 1st November, 2008
15. Procurement Officer
The successful candidates will assist in all purchases locally and overseas.
Requirements
- B.Sc./HND in Engineering, Purchasing and Supply or Business related courses with minimum of Second Class Lower and 5years cognate experience.
- In addition, excellent Computer Literacy is a must.
- Age: Not older than 33 years old as at 1st November, 2008
16. Inventory Controller
The successful candidates will be responsible for inventory management.
Requirements
- B.Sc./HND business related courses or statistics with minimum of Second Class Lower and 5years cognate experience.

17. Supply Chain Supervisor
The successful candidate will be responsible in supervising inventory, electric generators, logistics and all purchases locally and overseas and will also be responsible for evaluating all suppliers.
Requirements
- B.Sc./HND Mechanical, Electrical Engineering with minimum of Second Class Lower and 5years cognate experience.
- In addition, excellent Computer Literacy is a must.
- Age: Not older than 35 years old as at 1st November, 2008
18. Operator Training Instructor
- Develop and conduct Operator / Safety training courses on the complete range of Caterpillar equipment, both for Customer and Dealership personnel, which are suitable for novice through to highly skilled and experienced operator levels.
- Present Technical Training courses.
- Conduct Skill assessments, Machine application Evaluation & Job Site Reviews of Operators and Equipment.
- And thus provide detailed individual learning plans as necessary.
- Provide support to Sales initiatives (e.g. 360 Degrees Solutions, Accugrade, Product Link, etc.) and perform any other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Degree / Diploma in Engineering preferably with Certificate of Operator Competency to Industry/local/national legal standard and Caterpillar Certified Dealer Instructor(CDI).
- Not less than five (5) years working experience and exposure as a Heavy Duty Machine Operator and Occupational Safety Management.
- Must be proficient in communication, presentation, man management, customer relations and IT skills.
19. Sales Administrator
Responsible for the administration and support to the field sales activities of the Company’s Machine Sales department. Ensure that customers’ orders are in conformity with quotations given before ordering from suppliers. Prepare activity and month –end report for the department.
Requirements
- B.Sc./HND in Engineering field with minimum of Second Class Lower.
- Training in Marketing and Sales Management with minimum of 3 years experience.
- Excellent Computer Literacy is a must.
20. Service Engineer Trainees
Mantrac Service Engineer Trainee Program is designed to train and develop Workshop and Field Service Engineers that are able to meet the very highest Caterpillar Standard at the leading edge of technology. Trainees must be dedicated to continual training and development throughout their career. This is a challenging role that will require you to work in a “hands-on” position in conditions that are often remote, noisy and dirty.
Requirements
- B.Sc. / HND in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (minimum of 2nd Class Lower).
- ‘O’ Level Credit passes in English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
- Must have completed NYSC.
- Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
21. Apprentice
Will undergo a structured and systematic training programme for about three years. On successful completion of the training, will be required to implement inspection and repairs of heavy duty equipment in accordance with Caterpillar procedures, standards and specifications.
Requirements
- Trade Centre Certificate, ND, C&G or equivalent qualification in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
- ‘O’ Level Credit passes in English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
- Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
- Applicants with higher qualifications will be disqualified.
22. Experienced Service Technicians

23. Experienced Sales Executive (Power System)
Aggressively promote the Company's products, win and sell to prospects, ensure payments as appropriate, provide technical assistance & support to customers, maintain excellent corporate & professional standards, and communicate effectively with all contacts.
Requirements
- B.Sc. / HND Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with minimum of Second Class Lower and 5 years post graduate cognate experience.
- Additional qualifications like membership of COREN, Second degree in the aforementioned Fields or Marketing Management will be advantageous.
- Besides, the incumbent must be highly Computer Literate, hold valid Driver's License with very good driving skills and must be ready to work any where in Nigeria.0
24. Sales Executive Trainees
Aggressively promote the Company's products, win and sell to prospects, ensure payments as appropriate, provide technical assistance & support to customers, maintain excellent corporate & professional standards, and communicate effectively with all contacts.
Requirements
- B.Sc. / B.Eng. / HND Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be computer literate.
- Have evidence of successful completion of NYSC.
- Two (2) years cognate experience will be added advantage.
- Hold valid Driver's License with very good driving skills.
- Must be ready to work any where in Nigeria.
25. Warehouse Assistant / Store Keeper
- Responsible for checking and kitting all shell kits requirement.
- Promptly checked and prelist of all Mobil Oil items for delivery.
- Jointly responsible for picking list issuing.
- Ensure proper filling of all documents involved in all processing stages.
- Issue appropriate tools to the technicians whenever they are required for use.
- Receive goods and materials from the supplier in accordance with respective LPO specifications.
- Issue goods received note to back up the invoice issued by the supplier in confirmation of acceptance of the goods supplied.
- Take delivery and ensure prompt and proper dispatch of items, units and/or spare parts to customers and/or transfer to other branches.
- Receive, store and issue spare parts for contract service jobs as required.
- Take inventory of tools used in the Workshop on a regular basis
Requirements
- NCE (Technical) / OND in Engineering Field.
- ‘O’ Level Credit passes in English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
- Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
